About Onshore Marine

Onshore Marine has operated in the Horizon Shores Marina, in South-East Queensland since 1980. It has been relocated within the marina on a number of occasions with its last move in 2007 to our current, purpose built location. This move formed part of a major upgrade to the marina.

Adam Jackson has been working at Onshore Marine since 2004, in late 2013 he and his family purchased the business. Thanks to a dedicated work ethic and attention to detail, both the business and team continue to thrive. The aim is for continued growth and offering the highest level of products and customer service.

Since the move to the new facilities in 2007 the business has expanded operations into a wider market, taking on major repower and complete refit work to an array of private and commercial vessels. The business currently consists of a Mercury outboard dealership, Mercruiser inboard/sterndrive dealership, Quicksilver inflatables and Yanmar diesel engines dealership.

Adjacent to the office and workshop we have a 450m2 hardstand area whichoperates as a dedicated secure storage zone for our active ‘work in progress’ jobs. To facilitate the movement of vessels there are several ramp trailers capable of supporting monohulls up to 32ft. These trailers are towed either by the businesses own tractor or industrial forklift. For vessels larger than 32 feet a 75 ton travelift is utilised for transporting and placement of vessels either onto the hardstand area or into the 12m high workshop.

The marina has a good range of shipwrights, marine trimmers and fabricators and an array of other trades which are often utilised to carry out work that falls outside of our area of expertise. This allows us to offer an array of solutions to customers along with a quick turn around without the need to pull everything into our own workshop.

Adam is a family man and father of three. When he isn’t at work or spending time with his wife, Ida and their children, he can be found fishing or relaxing watching weekend sports. Now we wait and see if either of his two sons, or his daughter, decide to follow the footsteps of the three generations before them! You can also catch up with Ida by calling through for reception or accounts.
